Right beside the entrance to the Yamaha booth visitors will find the MotoGP race machine "YZR-M1" used in the 2007 season and the supersport model "YZF-R1" that brings together so many of Yamaha's state-of-the-art technologies.
Entering the booth farther, you come to the "WR250X SPECIAL" with its mysterious air, the "YZF-R6" featuring the first magnesium rear frame ever on a production model and other advanced technologies, the stylish "BW'S CONCEPT" model with its off-road taste, the "XT660Z" Tenere which takes its name from famous Dakar Rally machine, the "XS-V1 Sakura," which stands as a symbol of Yamaha Motor's corporate philosophy, and the "RAIDER S" with its awesome presence. All of these are models that propose different types of premium motorcycling life.
Farther back, visitors will see a display object "VMAX" created on the theme of "Awakens" and having the appearance of a VMAX about to be born out of the mold of rider-machine communication.
This brings the visitor to the main stage where models including the "MT-0S" and "FZ1 Fazer" exemplify Yamaha's real visions of the excitement offered by ultimate hobby bikes for the mature adult. You will also see the "TMAX" and "MAJESTY SPECIAL," as Yamaha's proud entries in the automatic transmission bike category.
Facing these models embodying Yamaha "Excitement" are examples of models that incorporate Yamaha's innovative "Smart Power" technology. They include the crossbred 4-wheeled hybrid model "Tesseract," powered by a combination of a liquid-cooled V-twin motorcycle engine and an electric motor, the compact electric commuter models "BOBBY" and "C3+," the fuel cell motorcycles "FC-AQEL" that runs on compressed hydrogen fuel and the "FC-Dii" that runs on methanol fuel. Then there is the hybrid model "LUXAIR" powered by a combination of a gasoline engine and electric motor. All of these models define Yamaha as the pioneer of electric power technologies for motorcycles.
Each of the models on display is accompanied by a video monitor where its features and technologies are introduced with easy to understand explanations. There is also a Technology Zone where visitors will see introductions to unique Yamaha design and engineering ideals "GENESIS" and "G.E.N.I.C.H." with which we seek to build motorcycle that appeal directly to the human senses, and the "Smart Power" concept that is another aspect of these technological ideals that define Yamaha's Art of Engineering, with which we strive to achieve ever higher levels of rider-machine communication. |
