(1992 / Automobile & Engine)
The OX99-11 supercar amassed all of Yamaha's automobile technology and know-how gained over the years since first manufacturing the Toyota 2000GT, putting a detuned Formula One racing engine into an aerodynamic body designed by Takuya Yura. The interior has a distinctive layout with a centrally positioned driver's seat and the passenger sitting behind the driver like on a motorcycle. Hand-built by skilled British craftsmen, it was planned to be offered for sale in 1994, but the global economic recession at the time forced the cancellation of these plans.
