Yamaha Motor's First Recognition as "White 500" Outstanding Health and Productivity Management Organization — Superior Health and Productivity Initiatives Commended —

IWATA, February 28, 2018—Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272) announced today that it has been selected as a "White 500" Outstanding Health and Productivity Management Organization, marking its first recognition as a corporation engaging in outstanding health and productivity management. The recognition was achieved under the Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program jointly promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.
In operation since FY 2016, this Program highlights companies achieving outstanding health and productivity management in their initiatives to address community health issues or work within the health-promotion initiatives taken by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi. In 2018, Yamaha Motor has received its first recognition in the Large Enterprise Category, which covers major companies and medical institutions.As part of our CSR policy, through our business activities Yamaha Motor promotes wide-ranging engagement and cooperation with society to create an environment which promotes health so that all employees can work safely and maintain their peace of mind. Yamaha Motor has continued with a variety of initiatives to promote and improve the health of its employees, such as providing incentives to quit smoking and ongoing health guidance for staff with a risk of lifestyle-related diseases or mental health issues, as well as undertaking regular health checks.
Building on the White 500 recognition, Yamaha Motor will move to the next level of proactive initiatives to promote the health and vitality of its employees, working to contribute to local communities and society as a whole.
