Yamaha Motor Relocate Manufacturing Subsidiaries

IWATA, February 17, 2014 - Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo:7272) announced today their decision to relocate the factories of two Shizuoka-based manufacturing subsidiaries with the aim of streamlining business within the group. The factories subject to relocation under this plan are three factories of TOYOBESQ CO., LTD. (Head Office: Negata, Hamakita-ku, Hamamatsu City; President and Representative Director, Naoki ARIMA), and the main factory of Fine Catec Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Konakaze, Iwata City; President and Representative Director, Shintaro SUZUKI). These factories will be relocated to Yamaha Motor's Morimachi Factory (Nakagawa, Shūchi-gun Morimachi) which manufactures motorcycle frames.

Of the four TOYOBESQ CO., LTD. factories which currently manufacture steel parts, the three factories that carry out motorcycle part processing, the Yokosuka (Yokosuka, Hamakita-ku, Hamamatsu City), Misono (Higashimisono, Hamakita-ku, Hamamatsu City), and Iwata (Hitokoto, Iwata City) factories, will be relocated. The main factory which carries out part processing for four-wheelers is not included in these plans.
Gradual relocation is scheduled to commence in February and reach completion by the end of 2015.

Fine Catec Co., Ltd.'s primary field of work is the casting and machining of small components for use in motorcycles and outboard motors. Relocation is scheduled to commence at the end of this year with a completion date of year end 2015.

In integrating the factories of these manufacturing subsidiaries, Yamaha Motor expects streamlining through the sharing of logistics/facilities, and a synergistic effect on a production technology level.
