Support to Areas Affected by the Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake

We at Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. wish to express our sincere condolences to the victims of recent Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake. To the many families who have lost their homes and property in this disaster, we offer our deepest sympathy and our wishes for a quick recovery.

Yamaha Motor has decided to make the following emergency assistance available to offer the support possible to people affected by the tremor.

Equivalent to 10 million yen

Relief funds (total contributions by the company/employees)

6.4 million yen

*The donation will be made through Japanese Red Cross Society.

Relief supplies

Equivalent to 3.6 million yen

(Principal relief supplies)
Drinking water (1.5 liters)		4,000 bottles
Emergency food (rice, cans, etc.)		8,000 meals
Portable toilets		48 units

Trucks carrying these relief supplies left the Head Office of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. for the Kashiwazaki City relief aid headquarters in the evening of July 17 and arrived at the disaster area at around 8:00 a.m. July 18.
